DIANNE BEGAN   CARING FOR HER BROTHER AND PARENTS IN JULY, 2008 WHEN HER MOTHER WAS DIAGNOSED WITH ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE AND THE DOCTORS SUGGESTED SHE BE PLACED IN AN ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY.  AT THAT TIME, DIANNE'S PARENTS HAD BEEN MARRIED FOR 64 YEARS, AND SEPARATING THEM WAS NOT AN OPTION.  SO THE THREE OF THEM MOVED FROM BOWDON TO DOUGLASVILLE, LEAVING THEIR PRECIOUS FRIENDS AND HOMES BEHIND THEM SO DIANNE COULD CARE FOR THEM AND KEEP THEM TOGETHER.

..............................

HER BROTHER SUFFERED FROM DIABETES, COPD AND OBESITY, AND UNFORTUNATELY HAD TO SPEND HIS LAST FEW MONTHS IN A LOCAL NURSING HOME WHERE HE PASSED AWAY ON DECEMBER 29, 2011.  WHILE AT THE FACILITY, WHEN DIANNE WOULD VISIT WITH HIM, SHE WOULD SPEND MOST ALL VISITATION TIME IN THE DIRECTOR OF NURSING'S OFFICE, COMPLAINING ABOUT THE LACK OF AND QUALITY OF CARE HE RECEIVED, LEAVING HIM BEGGING HER TO TAKE HIM HOME.

.............................

HER MOTHER PASSED AWAY ON FEBRUARY 13, 2013, PEACEFULLY AT HOME WITH HER LOVED ONES BY HER SIDE, KNOWING SHE WAS LOVED AND PROPERLY CARED FOR.

............................

HER FATHER  IS 87 YEARS OLD, A WWII VETERAN.  HE HAS CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE AND REQUIRES 24/7 CARE. WANTING  TO UTILIZE THE HOME SHE ALREADY HAD PREPARED TO CARE FOR THOSE IN NEED, SHE PURSUED HAVING A PERSONAL CARE HOME, NAMING THE FACILITY "LUCILLE'S RESTING NEST" IN MEMORY OF HER MOTHER.
